Welcome to the Project- Based Learning Blended Learning course. This course is designed for the intermediate practitioner to immerse and accelerate your learning on the design, assessment, and implementation of high quality project- based experiences in blended learning environments.
The course layout includes five interactive modules that are part learning and part application. As you learn, you will engage with fellow peers in the comment section, through bi-weekly group coaching sessions, our community forum, and guided protocols. With the support of a community of practitioners, you will walk away with a fully developed project to run in a blended environment in the 2020-2021 school year.
By the end of the course, you will:
- Implement the seven key components of high-quality PBL
- Use the simple 5 step process to design and plan blended learning projects with learners
- Be able to design varied formative and summative PBL assessment to assess standards and 21st century skills
- Develop strategies for remote and in-person project management
- Design virtual project study guides and resources to support student independent learning
- Be comfortable with digital tools for project management
- Be able to personalize and differentiate project- based experiences for learners

Your Instructor
Kyle Wagner, MEd. is a former Middle School Programme Director and instructional coach for innovative educators all over the world on how to use project- based learning to create socially, emotionally and globally aware citizens. Kyle has now coached and trained over 1000 teachers spread across 20 schools to help them infuse project- based experiences into their classrooms. As a Curriculum Designer and former Project- Based Learning Humanities Teacher Leader at High Tech High, a school featured in the hit documentary "Most Likely to Succeed," Kyle knows how to guide project development and implementation to ensure it transforms and empowers student learning. With 13 years experience teaching PBL, and 4 years leading, he believes in the 'Power of Simple' and has authored a book and numerous articles on how school leaders can lead change through PBL with simple, repeatable strategies. Kyle holds a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership and two supplemental teaching authorisations. When not writing or consulting with school leaders, Kyle enjoys traveling the world and writing original music for his band.
